Welcome!
My objective in creating Move NOW is to promote the importance of our physical and mental vitality as we age.
Everyday we experience physical and mental changes due to the biological process of aging. As we grapple with this reality, we learn to accept and handle it in the most graceful way. We try to live life to the fullest, counting each day as a blessing. But how many of us take the time to keep the body in good condition? Exercising is a common goal that many struggle to achieve and a lack of motivation can make it all the more elusive.
I can help you stay motivated with the Move NOW program. This recreational program is designed for adults who are looking for a basic way to keep the body and mind in shape. I will lead you in classes of gentle yoga, stretch, beginning ballet and other forms of dances such as Latin dance, line dance, and dance-pop. The idea is to get you moving and to have fun with it.
Move NOW Health and Fitness is a call to action. Do not let aging bog you down. Maintain your essence and vitality and put a jingle (back) in your step!

I was a professional classical ballet dancer for 21 years, and have been a ballet instructor for the last 18 years. In my decades of experience in dance I have always believed that movement is essential in mind and body wellness. I began to explore yoga in 2010 and fell in love with the integration of breath, movement, and meditation during practice.
Every summer since 2014, I taught yoga and stretch at the Young Americans College of Performing Arts as an introductory course for the incoming freshmen. In 2018, I joined a three day Kundalini Tantra Yoga Workshop developed and led by Mahatma Healer, Guru Ketut Arsana in Ubud, Indonesia. The year 2020 gave me the chance to broaden my knowledge on yoga and received my Yoga Teacher Certificate of Performance. I am now a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. In addition to ballet, I continue to teach beginning Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
I hold an A.S. in Gerontology and a B.S. in Human Services. My desire is to share my expertise in dance and movement to people of all ages.
